Bishop Conedera, a Roman Catholic human rights advocate was killed in 1998 two days after the publication of his four-volume report on the armed conflict in Guatemala titled "Guatemala: Never Again." Goldman will read from his 2007 New York Times Notable Book, The Art of Political Murder: Who Killed the Bishop? In his first work of nonfiction, he travels to Guatemala to try and solve the murder himself, while giving the reader insight into the other horrific atrocities that have occurred there. Released in May 2008, Moya reads selections from his newest novel, Senselessness. Time Out New York calls Senselessness "a harrowing text that rings out with strange, haunting phrases of testimony that slowly take on a life of their own."
